Composed of a short video with sound and a wall text, I AM is at once a manifesto on Nil Yalter’s polyphonic identity and a celebration of nomadism in all its forms, against fixed categories of identity and history. Together with the wall text and the corresponding sound narrative, I AM highlights the historical layers, memories and languages embedded in the bodies of working women stretching from the western Balkans through eastern Mediterranean to the Caucasus.
